AMBER KNAPP VAWTER

Amber Knapp Vawter, CPL is a 20-year landman with experience managing assets throughout the lower 48, after earning a BBA in Energy Management and Finance from the University of Oklahoma and prior to joining Monticello, Amber had the privilege of working for large independents with a heavy focus on exploration, exploitation and A&D centered projects from participation agreements to acreage trades across multiple basins.  Amber began her in-house career with Questar Exploration and Production Company where she managed a geographic area located in Western Oklahoma and learned all facets of land from land administration to exploration and production land work where she became proficient in contract negotiations and management of a broad spectrum of assets. After seven years at Questar she went to work for Chesapeake Energy where she managed all third-party negotiations in the Marcellus Shale Business Unit where her crowning achievement was the inception and negotiation of a 30,000 net acre trade that resulted in an asset sale of $5 Billion for Chesapeake.  After leaving the Marcellus, she went on to manage the Southern Exploration Land Department at Chesapeake, working closely with executives and senior management on the emersion of new oil and gas plays.  Upon leaving Chesapeake in 2015, she joined Brandt at Monticello and currently serves as co-owner and co-managing member of Monticello Investments, LLC where she has focused on the growth and management of the producing well portfolio from minimal production to over 400 wells across a five-year growth cycle.  She also continues to oversee all negotiations, deal flow and due diligence for Monticello using her skills of title review and contract negotiations to best serve Monticello’s acquisition and divestiture of oil and gas assets.
