Alberta Bakken
Alberta Basin is a sedimentary basin located on the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains in western Canada. It extends from British Columbia through Alberta and Saskatchewan into Manitoba.
Arkoma Basin
The Arkoma basin is in east-southeastern Oklahoma and in west-central Arkansas. The basin was once a part of the large Ouachita geosyncline, and now is one of several structural basins that lie along the northern margin of the Ouachita mountain system, which traverses the southern and southeastern United States.
Eagle Ford Shale
The Eagle Ford Group (also called the Eagle Ford Shale) is a sedimentary rock formation deposited during the Cenomanian and Turonian ages of the Late Cretaceous over much of the modern-day state of Texas. The Eagle Ford is predominantly composed of organic matter-rich fossiliferous marine shales and marls with interbedded thin limestones.
Anadarko Basin
The Anadarko Basin is a geologic depositional and structural basin centered in the western part of the state of Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle, and extending into southwestern Kansas and southeastern Colorado. The basin covers an area of 50,000 square miles.
Permian Basin
The Permian Basin is a large sedimentary basin in the southwestern part of the United States. The basin contains the Mid-Continent Oil Field province. This sedimentary basin is located in western Texas and southeastern New Mexico.
Marietta Basin
The Marietta Basin is located in southern Oklahoma, between the Muenster Arch on the southwest and Criner Hills Uplift on the northeast, extending from Love County, Oklahoma, southeastward through Cooke and Grayson counties, Texas, the deepest part being known as the Gordonville Trough.
Texas Panhandle
Panhandle field is a giant gas and oil-producing area that draws production from several horizons of Pennsylvanian and Permian age granite wash and dolomite, covering 200,000 surface acres in Hartley, Potter, Moore, Hutchinson, Carson, Gray, Wheeler, and Collingsworth counties of the Panhandle.
Haynesville Basin
The Haynesville Shale is an informal, popular name for a Jurassic Period rock formation that underlies large parts of southwestern Arkansas, northwest Louisiana, and East Texas. It lies at depths of 10,500 to 13,000 feet below the land’s surface. It is part of a large rock formation which is known by geologists as the Haynesville Formation.
